That is why he explains how to do it properly. It is supposed to stretch the front of your neck when performed correctly.
Also, very relaxing, but I didn’t do the pose at 5:37 because you can hurt your neck by tilting your head backward. Just thought people should know, since they’re probably watching this to relieve neck pain, not add to it.
At the beginning, you’re leaning to the right a little. I think your spine should be straight.
This was my first time doing yoga and it was amazing! I have chronic neck and shoulder pain and I can already feel the difference. How often should this be done? I was thinking about 3 or 4 times a week? THANKS for the lesson!

My neck is so tight I cant even relax the hear to the side for very long.
i just have to keep stretching I guess. This is great to do on my break, or while I am working even.
this yoga teacher is awesome…he has a great series for neck pain…Where can I take a live class with him? anyone know where he teaches?

hes stretching the neck though it looks uncomfortable and yes if he didnt do equally to the other side it could feel cramped but notice he strettched both sides very gently not wrenching just holding still where is comfortable..i broke my neck..and that stretch doesnt even bother me yet anyway aha
